Project Scope
MSD were appointed to work on the installation of new infrastructure between Newton-le-Willows and Castlefield Junction. The completion of this phase of a highly ambitious programme of electrification throughout the North West mean that trains can now operate between Manchester Airport and Scotland.
MSD carried out the installation of approximately 7,000m of twin C/1/10 GRP and concrete routes and platform ducted routes at Earlstown and Newton Le Willows Stations.
